People asking me to do something, and immediately offering a vague back-scratch in return.

This feels shady.

If someone asks a favour, I will think about whether I can do it - considering how much personal time and effort is required, in addition to literal capability. If I can, I will always say yes. I assume if future-me asks a similar weighted favour, it is thus more likely to be a yes.

I assume other people are like me. They mostly aren't.
