Elect some geeks.. before things get out of hand.

Oil is at $75/barrel, the Leafs are out of the Stanley Cup, Syndney is tendering for a desalinization plant because water reserves are so low and the Armies of the coalition of the willing are still in Iraq.

Thankfully, and tragically, only one Australian dead thus far - "weapons cleaning accident". My heart goes out to the grieving families - the question of politics, whether they should be there - has no place for them. With ANZAC day a few days away, I think even those of the anti-war standpoint who agree, those who give life in service for their country are heroes .. no matter how or why.

I honestly believe that if the geeks of the world were in charge things would sharpen up! I - like many - believe that Bill G is a first class git, however, I would still like to see him as president. He would never make such a crass move as war, he would sneakily undermine the other nations and buy out their strengths. No-one gets hurt (well, not physically) and it becomes a mental game of numbers and intelligence, rather than might.

On a more personal note, I have just had the best nights sleep of my life.. my new queen bed with firm mattress arrived yesterday, and the last 2 months of sleeping on a thermarest are a fading memory already!

You should really tell your tale to someone at Thermarest ;) 2 months is well beyond a field test!

I saw the documentary "Why We Fight" today... everyone should see it, especially a voting American. Highly recommended.

War is big business.. a form of corporate takeover, where there there are many who profit wether the superpower wins or loses, and that's what all this is about. What voters need to decide is if that's the America they want to be... and fall in line behind every other great empire that came before it.

I agree, a proper geek in charge would get a lot of things done... and with style. Gates has to be careful with his own empire right now tho ;)

VOTE BELA!
